Technical Infrastructure
Carrier and mobile networks, DWDM, fibre, enterprise IT, servers, virtualisation and monitoring.
I approach infrastructure as one operational system, not as a collection of individual products.
Profile
Technical Infrastructure & Delivery Lead
I turn technical plans into working infrastructure.
My speciality is delivery: bringing engineering, suppliers, customers and field teams together, taking ownership across the interfaces, and staying with the work until the system is working as intended.
Working across technology and infrastructure since 1997: carrier networks, telecom deployment, enterprise IT and international technology businesses.
Technology career since 1997
40-site 4G rollout
Planned and delivered by a four-person team, with approximately 2.5-hour service windows per site.
International delivery
Finland · Germany · Italy · Croatia
Multi-company execution
Larger deliveries involved 5–20 supplier and subcontracting companies and approximately 10–40 field personnel.
€50k–€200k
Typical international project size under direct or joint delivery and budget responsibility.
Capabilities
Carrier and mobile networks, DWDM, fibre, enterprise IT, servers, virtualisation and monitoring.
I approach infrastructure as one operational system, not as a collection of individual products.
Planning → preparation → implementation → testing → commissioning → handover.
Experience includes live environments with controlled maintenance windows, where preparation, sequencing and verification directly affect operational continuity.
Customers, operators, engineering organisations, manufacturing partners, contractors and local field teams aligned around one delivery.
My role has often been to keep the technical, operational and supplier interfaces connected rather than treating each work package as an isolated task.
My strongest customer-facing work begins where a technical requirement has to become a workable delivery.
Engineering workshops, customer-specific technical changes, stakeholder meetings, training, deployment support and inspections across European markets.
Customer development and project discussions also covered Austria, France, the Netherlands, Luxembourg and Portugal, while completed deliveries were made in Finland, Germany, Italy and Croatia.
Selected delivery
Kuopio, Finland · Palmionet Oy
40 mobile-network sites delivered by a four-person team.
Palmionet planned and prepared the work, executed the technology migration, tested the completed installation, dismantled the legacy equipment and restored each site to operational service before moving to the next.
Approximately 2.5 hours of service window per site.

Croatia · Germany · Italy · Finland · Ecotelligent
Larger deployment volumes were delivered in Croatia and Germany. A completed INWIT tower project in Italy provides a representative example of the full delivery chain in a single project, and YIT/Nokia work was completed in Finland. Additional projects in several European countries progressed through engineering and permitting stages.
Depending on the project, the delivery chain included:
The work combined technical sales, customer and stakeholder meetings, engineering coordination, customer-driven design changes, technical modelling and documentation, supplier and subcontractor coordination, manufacturing preparation, delivery arrangements, installer training, on-site support and verification of completed installations.
Relevant customer/project environments included:
Helsinki–Kuopio, Finland
6 months
A six-month optical-transmission project covering equipment configuration, assembly and testing of MUX and repeater nodes, followed by field deployment and installation along the Helsinki–Kuopio route.
The work covered the path from preparation and configuration to physical backbone-network implementation.
EnvironmentDWDM · optical transmission · MUX · repeater nodes · configuration · backbone deployment
Biathlon World Championships & World Cup events · Finland
Designed and implemented temporary network infrastructure for one Biathlon World Championships event and two World Cup events.
The events brought together participants from more than 40 nationalities, and the network served a heterogeneous mix of connected equipment, including cameras, computers, tablets, smartphones and printers.
The network had a fixed operational deadline: it had to be built and tested before the event, remain reliable throughout live competition and media operations, and be dismantled afterwards.
How I deliver
People, disciplines and organisations do not always start with the same language, assumptions or priorities. I work to identify what they are actually trying to achieve and turn it into a shared way forward.
Customer requirements, engineering constraints, commercial realities and field conditions need to make sense to each other. Bridging those interfaces is a central part of technical delivery.
Delivery does not always allow time for perfect information. I stay focused on what matters, make decisions quickly, act without unnecessary delay and keep the work moving until the problem is resolved and the delivery is completed.
High standards do not require unnecessary tension. Confidence, preparation and trust allow people to concentrate on doing their best work.
Serious about the outcome. Calm in execution.
Fast does not mean frantic.
If something is unclear or the required expertise is missing, identify it, resolve it, learn it or bring in the right person — and keep the delivery moving.
Experience
Palmionet was founded in 2004 and initially operated alongside employed roles.
Telecom infrastructure, enterprise IT, technical projects, networks, systems and technology development.
Selected work includes mobile-network rollout, carrier and enterprise infrastructure, servers, virtualisation, storage, monitoring and business-critical IT environments.
Product development and international tower-infrastructure delivery in Finland, Germany, Italy and Croatia.
Technical leadership and ownership, customer work, technical sales, engineering coordination, suppliers, manufacturing preparation, training, field deployment and inspections.
Technology-company development covering physical products, prototypes, PPE-related technology, equipment-management software, testing and certification, intellectual property, financing and international commercialisation.
Relevant background includes work with SATRA in the United Kingdom, research cooperation with TU Delft, patent applications, Horizon 2020 applications, international distributor development and international industry events.
My formal background is in information technology engineering, followed by master's degree studies in electrical engineering. The studying never really stopped — carrier networks, telecom infrastructure, enterprise IT and product development have each required learning new technology well enough to make sound technical decisions.
Opportunities
I am open to a permanent role where the scale, responsibility and international environment make full-time ownership the right fit. I also take on selected technical delivery assignments through Palmionet Oy.
Senior technical infrastructure and delivery responsibility in an international organisation.
Technical delivery and project responsibility through Palmionet Oy.
The strongest fit is in telecom, network infrastructure, digital or other technically demanding infrastructure environments.
I particularly value international, English-speaking teams made up of people from different countries and professional backgrounds.
I am not looking for management detached from the technology. I want to remain close enough to what is being built to understand it, identify risks and contribute to technical decisions while taking responsibility for getting the overall delivery completed.
For the right permanent role, I am available for full-time employment and permanent relocation within Europe. I take on delivery assignments through Palmionet Oy.
